Kylie Benton-Connell is a doctoral candidate in the department of anthropology. Her research is focused on the changing relationship between the financial sector and the midstream oil and gas industry, and how this relates to changes in advocacy efforts around pipelines in North America. She has worked in research and organizing roles in Australia, Bolivia and the US, and is a contributing editor for The New Inquiry.
