Next in the History Speaker Series is Johan Mathew from Rutgers University, with a talk titled “Unveiling Money: Counterfeits, Arbitrage, and Finance Across the Arabian Sea.”
Johan Mathew is an economic historian with a particular interest in crime and illicit commerce and how they shape capitalist markets. Geographically, he has focused on the western Indian Ocean.
