Farrar, Straus and Giroux has recently published New School Professor James Miller’s book, “Examined Lives: From Socrates to Nietzsche.”
A New York Times Notable Book for 2011, the book, which can be found here, returns to the philosophical tradition of offering “arresting answers to the most fundamental questions about who we are and what makes for a life worth living” with “short, lively biographies of twelve famous philosophers.”
