Aaron Berman is a PhD candidate Philosophy at the New School for Social Research. He holds a joint MA in Contemporary European Philosophy from Kingston University London and Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis and a BA from New York University. His research builds on insights elaborated in Marxian theory, analytic social ontology, intersectionality, and critical philosophy of race and he is currently writing a dissertation that works to theoretically synthesize contemporary social constructivism and the Marxian critique of political economy to better capture the dynamic implication of the reproduction of race and gender as salient social categories in the overall reproduction of capitalist social form.
